If your approved Iraq eVisa does not download from the portal dashboard, retrieve the PDF document directly from your registered email inbox or resolve local browser blocking issues.
Follow these practical steps to access your visa document and prepare for your trip:
- Check your email inbox for the attached visa file. The Directorate of Residency Affairs emails your approved electronic visa document directly to your registered email address. Open the message and download the attached PDF. Check your spam and junk folders if the message does not appear in your primary inbox.
- Resolve local browser and device issues. Clear your browser cache and cookies, disable pop-up blockers, or turn off browser extensions that block automatic downloads. You can also open the official Iraqi Electronic Visa Portal in private browsing mode or try a different browser or computer.
- Print a physical paper copy for border control. The official portal states that you must print your electronic visa and show it at border control. Airlines and border officials require this physical printout. A digital screen image or portal status receipt cannot replace the official printed visa.
- Contact official support if the download file remains unavailable. The official portal does not publish a verified processing deadline. Public travel guides and automated assistants cannot access private government records or retrieve documents for you. If your application shows as approved but neither the email nor the dashboard provides the document, call the Directorate of Residency Affairs at +964 772 111 1434 or send an inquiry through the portal. Include your full name, passport number, and application reference number.
- Verify your entry jurisdiction. The federal portal covers travel into Federal Iraq through Baghdad and Basra. The Kurdistan Regional Government runs a separate electronic visa portal for Erbil and Sulaymaniyah, and regional visas remain valid only for travel within the Kurdistan Region.
As a practical suggestion, save the PDF to your phone and print two paper copies before traveling.
