An official tourist eVisa for Federal Iraq costs $160 USD. This government fee applies to ordinary electronic entry visas requested through the official Iraqi Electronic Visa Portal, as recorded in entry advice from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. The approved visa allows a stay of up to 60 days. Diplomatic missions such as the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in London instruct foreign passport holders to submit applications directly through this portal.
Fee details and payment terms include:
Government fee vs extra charges
- Official government charge. The $160 USD fee is paid online during the application on the government portal. Foreign passport holders of verified Iraqi origin receive a fee waiver under official consular rules published by the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq.
- Card processing and bank fees. Payment card issuers or payment gateways may add separate international processing fees or currency conversion charges.
- Agency surcharges. Private visa agencies and commercial websites add service fees on top of the government price. You can avoid commercial agent markups by applying directly on the official portal.
Important conditions
- No guaranteed refund. There is no official provision for a guaranteed refund of visa fees once the application is submitted.
- Separate regional system. The Kurdistan Regional Government runs a separate e-visa portal. Visas issued for the Kurdistan Region are valid only in that region.
