You can find your Iraq eVisa application reference number in three places: on your submission confirmation screen, in the confirmation email sent to your registered address, and inside your portal account dashboard.
Look for your reference number using these steps:
- Submission confirmation screen. When you complete your application on the official Iraqi Electronic Visa Portal, the portal displays a confirmation screen with your reference code.
- Confirmation email. Check the inbox of the email address you entered during application. The portal sends an automated notification containing your reference number. Check your spam or junk folder if the message does not appear in your inbox.
- Portal dashboard. Sign in to your account on the official portal to view your submitted applications and reference codes.
- Separate payment transaction numbers. Do not use your credit card receipt or bank payment confirmation number. The visa tracking tool requires the application reference code and does not recognize bank payment transaction IDs.
- Kurdistan Region applications. If you applied for travel restricted to the Kurdistan Region through visit.gov.krd, locate your reference number in that portal's confirmation email or user dashboard. Federal Iraq and Kurdistan operate separate visa databases.
- Support channels. If you cannot find your reference number, contact the Directorate of Residency Affairs through the portal or by phone at +964 772 111 1434. The official portal provides no verified processing deadline. Public travel guides and automated assistants cannot look up private visa records.
As a practical suggestion, save a screenshot of your confirmation screen and keep your payment receipt.
