Mount Zawa rises along the southern edge of Dohuk, providing wide views over the valley, the university campus, and the Nineveh plains. Visitors can reach the summit by road or by riding the cable car (teleferic) departing from the Dream City amusement area. The ridge is especially popular around sunset, when breezes cool the hill and city lights come on below.
